Over the past ten years, our club has been trying every effort to bring English drama to the college campus, so that students can feel the beauty of English and classics. We've been insisting on holding at least one special show every year, aiming at the combination of Chinese and western drama culture by taking classics as the benchmark and adding modern elements. We look forward to your participation! The original vision of the Theatre Workshop is to make the students who are interested in or fond of English theatre performance sit together to communicate with each other. During this communication, students can develop their interest in it and improve their spoken English; it can enhance the cultural literacy as well. Meanwhile, the Theatre Workshop is cooperating with some foreign tutors who are also interested in the theatre in order to provide our members with high-quality training so that they can participate in the performing activities organised later. In the following year, the Theatre Workshop will find more talent among all the members, and then we will try our best to guarantee that each member can learn more about the professional knowledge of theatre performance and have chance to perform on the stage. As for the plan from macroscopic view, we hope to expand the Theatre Workshop in size and recruit some new members. Plus, in the activity, we will adopt a form of groups to communicate, study and perform in terms of different kinds of theatre play. In conclusion, our Theatre Workshop will remain a sincere attitude towards everybody to offer a better platform.
