The cold, clear winter night sky offers the best opportunity to observe winter constellations and celestial objects. On the evening of December 14th, coinciding with the peak of the Geminids—one of the year's three major meteor showers—we will conduct observations of the meteor shower and several common celestial bodies.
This event consists of three main parts:
1. Wishing Wall for Meteors: Write down your hopes for the holidays or the new semester and post them on our prepared wishing wall.
2. Stargazing: A designated observation area will be set up in a safe location, allowing participants to freely admire the night sky and experience the vastness and mystery of the universe.
3. Hands-on Astronomical Observation: Telescopes and other observation equipment will be provided, with guidance from professionals, enabling participants to personally experience the joy of observing the stars.
The Sagittarius Astronomy Club (TC) was founded in 2024. Our Chinese name is "Nan Dou", which is part of the Sagittarius constellation. In Chinese, it represents life force. We are committed to spreading astronomy knowledge to our students through a variety of interesting activities.
