FLTRP·ETIC Cup English Public Contest is divided into online courts and ground courts. For the speech contest in online courts, video submission will be held on 6.1-10.16, online preliminary competition will be held on 10-17-11.7, online semi-final will be held on 11-8-11.14, and online final will be held on 11-15-11.20. Results announced on November 22. The speech contest will be held on the ground at 15:00 on October 19. The competition will include keynote speech, impromptu questions and answers, etc. The competition process will be online registration and offline competition. The National English Writing Competition takes the form of online competition. The competition time is 14:00 to 15:50 on October 15. The online preliminary competition questions are provided by the organizer. The questions are one argumentation essay (about 500 words), one expository essay (300-500 words) and one practical essay (300-500 words). The National English Reading Contest takes the form of online competition. The time is 9:00-11:00 on 10.15. The questions include three modules: Read and Know, Read and Reason, Read and Question, and the time is 110 minutes

The Student English Association (SEA) is one of XJTLU's largest and most dynamic clubs, run with guidance and support from the Language Centre. It features a range of social, cultural and academic activities designed to improve your English skills. Events emphasize making friends, developing new skills and learning about the world and are frequently attended by Language Centre tutors.The growing list of events includes: English Corner, lectures, speaking competitions,and festival celebrations. Most activities are free and open to all XJTLU students. While the club has extensive support from the Language Centre,a student-led corporate structure has been established which offers students the opportunity to acquire leadership experience in addition to applying what they have learnt in their studies.New ideas or members are always welcome.
