In the process of globalization, the culture is tending toward homogenization, the traditional culture of various countries is facing a huge challenge. As an international university on the land of China, the Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) is charged with the mission of cultural exchange and transmission. Under this background, the Chinese language and Culture Union of XJTLU has emerged as the times require. It aims at inheriting and developing Chinese traditional culture, promoting the fusion of Chinese culture and the culture of the other part of the world, and devoting itself to creating a platform for the exchange of Chinese language and culture in line with the new area. The XJTLU Chinese Language & Culture Union (CLCU) is a student autonomy organization led by the Language Center (LC) of XJTLU. The aim of the organization is to inherit and carry forward the Chinese traditional culture, to promote the integration of Chinese culture with the cultures of all regions of the world, and to build a platform for the exchange of Chinese traditional language and culture in line with the new era. The CLCU will create a new way of cultural exchange and will build an interactive experience platform of contemporary Chinese traditional culture by means of online and offline mode, and by means of communication, experience, teaching, and so on, combining existing culture-related organizations and societies, and building an interactive experience platform of contemporary Chinese traditional culture.
